Most of the dust and grit that collects in a grand piano over time ends up in places that are neither visible nor accessible to the piano owner. This dust and grit eventually works its way into the working mechanism of the piano, leading to premature wear and even bigger problems down the road.
It is not a good idea for a piano owner to attempt to clean the inside of his or her piano. This is best left to the professional piano technician who has the experience and tools to do the job. Fragile, delicate parts are too easily misplaced or broken. This is why we offer professional piano cleaning service.
GRAND AND BABY GRAND PIANO DEEP CLEANING ($225)
A deep cleaning includes:
We remove the moving parts and clean inside of the case.
Vacuum dust and debris from the action (the moving parts).
We vacuum around the tuning pins.
Clean the top surface of the soundboard with a special tool. Underneath the strings.
Clean the top surface of the harp.
Clean the top surface of the dampers.
With an air compressor, we blow dust out from underneath the harp.
With an air compressor, we remove dust from every nook and cranny.
We clean the key tops and key fronts with multi-surface spray.
We clean the outside of the piano.
Clean the front cover.
Clean the lid.
Clean the piano desk, pedals, and legs.
